ANNUNCIATION is a choreographic essay which draws inspiration from the biblical iconic theme. Two dancers test their own bodies on stage to engage in a ritualistic practice which hides frustration, domination, fetishism and desire. The choreography and actions presented serve as a metaphor about European contemporary culture or beauty built upon massacre.

ANNUNCIATION has been created with the generous support of Cuarta Pared Theatre, Carmen Senra, Teatros del Canal and Comunidad de Madrid. It was presented as a work in progress at La Tabacalera (the old Tabacco Factory in Madrid) and premiered at Festival Escena Contemporánea, Madrid, February 2012.
